Guardian Alien – All A Mute

Atmospheric rock rooted ambient tracks are often a formula for disaster, and well, I’ll let you determine yourselves if its the case with this track from Guardian Alien titled “All A Mute,” which could classify for a new genre that would likely be called: Atari surf-jazz fusion. What drew me to this number is the very hushed, no-motifs, nature of the track, easily lending itself to a Wes Anderson film; yes that was the key in my mind. We had the track playing as we were trying to get food at a two-manned Taco Bell in Redding and when our surf boards blew off the rack of our little Subaru shortly thereafter, so I may be partial to its use as a soundtrack to said events but it’s a wild little tune that might extend into your life’s OST as well.
